About Jayden A. Watkins

Jayden Amir Watkins is a 16-year-old executive director, minister, author, media personality, and community advocate dedicated to empowering the next generation. Born and raised in Henderson, North Carolina, Jayden answered his calling to ministry at a young age, preaching his first sermon at just nine years old. He currently serves as an associate minister at Big Ruin Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, NC, and Evans Solid Rock Church For All People in Wake Forest, NC. Known for his dynamic and inspiring messages, Jayden is committed to spreading faith, purpose, and resilience.

As the founder of Higher Is Waiting Nonprofit Organization, Jayden works to educate, equip, and empower individuals by providing essential resources, faith-based initiatives, and mentorship programs. His EMPOWERED: Teen Bible Study & Mentorship Group impacts over 120 young people regularly, helping them grow spiritually and develop leadership skills.

Beyond ministry, Jayden is an Assistant Director of theatrical stage plays and has played a key role in bringing impactful stories to life on stage. He is also the host and executive producer of The Preferable Podcast, which he has led for four years. The podcast has featured high-profile guests, including Grammy and Emmy Award-winning celebrities, and continues to inspire listeners worldwide. Additionally, Jayden is a seasonal host at WIZS Radio Station, where he uses his voice to uplift the community through engaging discussions.

His influence extends beyond the pulpit and podcasting world. Jayden has been featured on numerous magazine covers and international platforms, using his story to inspire audiences across the globe. In recognition of his leadership and impact, he was inaugurated into the Disney Dreamers Academy, an exclusive program that uplifts and empowers the next generation of leaders.

A dedicated youth advocate, Jayden serves as the president of the Teen Democrats of Vance County, using his platform to encourage civic engagement among young people. He is also a published author and YouVersion Bible App partner, spreading messages of faith and empowerment through various platforms.
